Panic Button does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry services in the app. We have zero tracking.
Server connection credentials (passwords and private keys) are stored exclusively on your device using the Android Keystore, which provides hardware-backed encryption on supported devices. Your credentials never leave your device except when establishing an SSH connection to a server you have configured.
Non-sensitive configuration data (server names, hostnames, ports, button configurations, and app settings) is stored locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to any external service.
The app requires the INTERNET permission solely to establish SSH connections to servers you configure. No data is sent to any third-party servers, advertising networks, or analytics services.
Purchase information is handled entirely by Google Play. The app only stores a boolean flag on your device indicating whether the Pro upgrade has been purchased. No payment or billing information is accessible to the app.
The app uses the VIBRATE permission to provide haptic feedback when commands succeed or fail. This can be disabled in Settings.
This app is not directed at children under 13 years of age.
